The challenge
Space has always been the domain of government and military
institutions. The Civilian Space eXploration Team (CSXT) has
set out to change that -- in a big way -- as the first amateur
group to build and launch an amateur rocket into space. CSXT
is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and relies
on its own team members and outside sponsors to fund its lofty
endeavors.
Our challenge was twofold: (1) Help CSXT provide current information
to the worldwide audience following this historic quest. (2)
Assist in CSXT’s fund-raising efforts.
The solution
Fuscient began by conceiving the CSXT logo. We then developed
an interactive Web site that provides easy access to CSXT’s
previous flights and current initiatives.
For timely, automated news reports, we created an e-mail capture
and message-broadcast system that sends mission updates direct
to the e-mail addresses of the mission’s followers.
Even day-to-day audio reports, transmitted from remote desert
launch locations, are included on the Web site -- to give
global audiences first-hand mission status updates.
Fuscient assists CSXT in its fund-raising efforts. We created
the design for a CSXT commemorative coin that will be flown
on the historic space flight. Advance orders of these coins
will help raise funds for the mission. Fuscient has also directly
stepped up to the fund-raising plate. The incredible vision
and effort of CSXT blends with our own forward-thinking philosophies
-- inspiring us to donate the funds necessary to become the
mission’s lead sponsor. We’re abundantly proud
to be part of CSXT’s historic quest to open up the doors
to space for everyone.
